Nine Months In, Nine Months Out: A Celebration at In-N-Out

This milestone feels big — like something sacred and silly all at once.

Cecilia has now been in our arms just as long as she was growing inside me. And while it feels like she’s always been part of our story, it also feels like we just blinked and she was here — full of squish, sparkle, and smiles.

So naturally, we celebrated with In-N-Out.

No fries for her just yet (don’t worry!), but she did gleefully play with her stuffed fries and drink like the burger baby she is.

And let’s be real — it felt full circle.

Because during my pregnancy with her? I was borderline addicted to In-N-Out. Not joking. It was my craving. My comfort food. My “baby wants this” card. I may or may not have driven out of my way more times than I care to admit just to get those fries and a strawberry shake.

So celebrating her nine-month milestone here? Absolutely on brand.

Second Baby, Whole New World

I thought having baby number two would feel familiar — like riding a bike. But nope. Turns out, every baby is different. And every parenting chapter comes with its own curveballs.

The gear has changed. My go-to products from Henry? Some have been discontinued… even recalled. New gadgets, new advice, new rhythm — it’s all felt brand new.

Honestly? I’ve felt like a first-time mom all over again.

But we’ve had some game-changers this time around:

• Formula maker – didn’t have one with Henry, but now I can’t imagine doing bottles without it.
• Countertop dishwasher – lifesaver for bottles and pump parts (how did we survive without it?!).

Now we’re just a few months away from switching to milk and saying goodbye to the bottle phase.

It’s bittersweet — but mostly sweet.

Big Brother Magic

What’s made this season shine? Watching Henry become the best big brother we could have imagined. He helps without being asked. He loves her so tenderly. He races to get her from her nap just for her “morning smile.”

And Cici? She beams for him. She watches him, copies him, lights up when he walks into the room.

Their bond is already something special — and we are so lucky to witness it.

Milestones Don’t Need to Be Fancy

The party? Oh, no big party. Just Cici and me, a number two (spread and grilled onions only), fries, and a strawberry milkshake.

A drive-thru celebration, a decked-out baby with a stuffed soda in hand, and a mama who couldn’t stop smiling at the full-circle moment.

Because sometimes, the best memories come with fries.
